My name is Leni

My name is Leni (Lennora) Stone. I am 51 years old. I was born in Bennington, and, except for my college years, have lived here all of my life. I like the small town atmosphere and felt it was the best place in the world to get married and raise a family. I also love our mountains. They are beautiful, no matter what season we are in. Luckily, we live on a hill and have a wonderful view of the mountains on the north and east sides of our home.

I was a first grade teacher at Pownal Elementary School for many years. In the fall of 1996 I became a second grade teacher. Pownal is a small town about 10 min. south of Bennington. I love teaching these little people. They are so eager to learn

In December of 1997, I became ill with viral spinal meningitis and ensephilitis. I have been in and out of hospitals and nursing homes since then. I am now home, and on my way to revovery..

When I am healthy, I enjoy reading, making quilts the strip quilting method, doing counted cross stitch, watching my favorite TV show, and singing in my church choir. In the summer, I like to have cook outs with my friends and family, swim in our above ground pool, and garden. I also enjoy feeding the birds, especially the pair of humming birds that flit about.

My favorite vacation spot, so far, is Old Orchard Beach, Maine. I love the sun, the sand, and shopping at L.L. Bean in Freeport. I am still hoping to go to Florida!!

I like to shop ‘till I drop in the nearby malls. We have to go to Pittsfield, Mass. or Albany, NY to do this. Both places are about one hour away. Albany and Latham, NY are where we get most of our computer items.

We have enjoyed doing this home page, and will be updating it constantly. Please stop by every once in a while to see if there is something new. I am hoping that all of our friends do one, also. It’s lots of fun to make one, and to read others.
